Rave Panic Button 2nd Reminder

Hi Everyone,

This is just a 2nd reminder (and 1st email to new staff) about the Rave Panic Button, as we strongly encourage all staff to download this App to your smartphone……
Thanks to those that have already done so.

The Suffolk Cooperative Library System recently made a panic button notification system available to library staff, It is called Rave Panic Button.

In seconds, Rave Panic button clearly communicates an emergency to 9-1-1 and staff. It will report the type of emergency and location with the push of a button.

The Rave Panic Button app is available for iOS and Android. We strongly encourage you to download it to your smartphone if you have one. If you don’t have a smartphone, you will still receive emergency notifications by email and/or text messaging through the Rave system.

Please take a look at this brief video for a tutorial: https://youtu.be/Pb_ZKQjnVrA. A tutorial is also available within the app itself.

If you have any questions, please see me or Christa.

Access to the Library

Each staff member has received an access fob allowing access to the outside entrance of our space at 1373 Veterans Memorial Highway. The access hours for any part-time staff member is:
Monday to Friday, 9 am to 9 pm
Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm
Sunday, 12:30 am to 9 pm

Full time staff members have access 24/7.

These times fully reflect our understanding of each person arriving, checking in, placing items away before heading to their area of work for their shift. We have built in a extra half hour to the day to allow everyone working to get ready before our guests enter the space.

If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
