The passwords at the Reference and Circulation computers have been updated as of this morning.
Please use the following passwords when you are logging into the Reference (Adult & Children’s) and Circulation computers. Reference: 3Haupref# Circulation: 3Haupcirc#
If you type in an incorrect password twice, please stop and check the password you are typing. Entering an incorrect password three times will cause the computer to lock for 30 minutes.
As always, please be careful with these passwords. Do not leave passwords posted on computers. If you need to discuss a password, please step off the public floor to do so.

The recent renewal of our BJs membership accidentally erased some people’s access to the store. Currently only three people are listed as members on our account: myself, Fran and Jackie N. Hello everyone,
For this year’s Teen Read Week (an annual American Library Association celebration of teen literature), we are creating an interactive display of great teen books for our library guests to rate for us. The theme for this year’s Teen Read Week is: “It’s Written in the Stars… Read!” We’re asking our guests to add their opinion to the star rating system on our display of books. There will be numerous YA (Young Adult) and YT (Young Teen) books on display and next to each will be a place for staff and guests to rate them with star stickers.
If you have a favorite teen book (good for teens in Grades 6-12) email me the title and author and the number of stars you would give the book on a scale of 1-5 (with 1 being not so good and 5 being out of this world). Pun intended.
My email is: cberntsen@hauppaugelibrary.org or you can just leave me a note on my desk in the back workroom.
Also, when Teen Read Week is upon us (from October 7-13), every time a teen checks out any book from our collection during this week they’ll receive a small prize! I’ll have that box of prizes available at the Guest Services Desk starting October 7th.
